A Level Results Day - Thursday, 20th August 2009.
Once again, we are delighted with the results our students have achieved. We have attained our target for the school with 96% of grades being A to E. Our average point score is 17.4.
Particular congratulations to Nicholas Buss and Tomos Eaves, who both gained all A Grades and to Eddie Nicholls who will be taking up a place at Corpus Christi College, Oxford to study Politics, Philosophy and Economics.
Most of our students have achieved the results they need to move on to University or further courses.
We are particularly proud of our results for mathematics and further mathematics. 29 students took A2 maths and 20 of these achieved a Grade A and 5 students achieved a Grade B. Eleven students took A2 maths a year early in Year 12 and 9 of these received a Grade A. So much is written about the difficulties in encouraging students to study mathematics, but at Chepstow School they excel.
Hearty congratulations are due to our students and their teachers.
