Welcome to the BTEC Home-School Learning area.
BTEC are vocational qualifications to prepare students equally for direct entry into employment or for progression to further or higher education.
For 2012-2013 the school offers the following BTEC courses:
Level 2 BTEC Diploma in Business Travel and Tourism (worth 4 GCSEs - 25 hours per fortnight).
Level 2 BTEC Extended Certificate in Sport (Performance and Excellence) (worth 2 GCSEs - 6 hrs per fortnight & 10 tutorials).
Level 2 BTEC Hospitality (worth 2 GCSEs).
Level 2 BTEC Enginering (worth 2 GCSEs).
Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Business Studies (worth 3 A Levels - 20 hrs per fortnight & 10 tutorials).
Level 3 BTEC Subsidiary Award in Music (worth 1 A Level - 9 hrs per fortnight).
