It is very important for young people to have as many opportunities as possible to extend their learning. We encourage all our students to participate in extra-curricular activities, whether in or out of school.
Our Student Voice (School Council) meets regularly at lunchtime to discuss school issues which are important and which are causing concern. Lunch is provided.
We run numerous extra-curricular clubs, including: Gymnastics, Street Dance, Badminton, Dodgeball, Table Tennis, Basketball, Girls TAG rugby, Boys Rugby, Football, Hockey, Netball. These are, of course, alongside the numerous sports clubs and training sessions which are organised for all year groups.
We also have extra music tuition classes run from school.
Non-sports clubs on offer include: Junior Orchestra, School Choir, Big Band, Barbershop Singers, Wind Band, String Ensemble, Folk Group, Drama Club, DT Club, Art Club, Homework Club, Chess Club, Digital Story Project, Reading Club, Debating Club, Carnegie Project, Journalism, Book Writing.
